Sta-on Tissue Section Adhesive

This is a liquid adhesive which is easy to use. It may be used in one of two ways. Firstly, 10ml may be added to the tissue flotation bath for each litre of pre-warmed water. Then each section floated out requires no further treatment providing a one step answer to routine adhesion problems, whilst wet sections may be re-floated and re-orientated without problems. Secondly the solution may be used neat to pre-prepare slides by dipping and subsequent drying to provide pre-coated slides. This method works best with fatty tissue like breast tissue. It is equally effective with frozen sections and smear preparations. Sta-On will not interfere with staining reactions and will not leave a background residue.
